    Theft under 5000
Hi, I'm looking for some advice on a theft under $5000 case where I was caught shoplifting when I was 19 in Alberta, Canada. I went to court with no legal aid and requested what I think is now called Adult Diversion, which was granted. I completed the requirements in full. Two years later I was caught a second time shoplifting and this time had to hire a lawyer, and again I completed my sentence in full (there was a fine involved and I paid it on the day of the final court date). I completely learned my lesson and have no desire to steal anything from anyone ever again, so I'm looking into getting a pardon.
What I'm wondering is if I need to get a pardon for both, even though the first offense was a "Diversion," and if theft under $5000 is considered a summary or an indictable offense since I did get have to get my fingerprints taken. Do I need to wait another year (for a total of 5 years) since completion of my offense, or can I try now?
Thank you for your help in advance!

Okay, it wasn't Diversion, but Alternative Measures that I was granted for the first offense.
