My ex and I have been separated for 3 days and he told me that he loves me but is not in love with me. He claims that we should take a break from each other but I don't understand why. Just recently this month his friend came back and told him I cheated on him and then later found out that I didn't and really I would never I love him with all my heart. I try to go out and have fun; see new people but I just end up thinking about him all over again. And then when we were together he would talk to my sister more then me and I asked him why he does that and he said that I be on that bull and she the realist. I'm torn in between the two I don't know What to do, I can't believe I'm single again.

When he says that he loves you but not in love with you, it means that his feelings for you have changed.

The reason he asked for a break is because he doesn't want to completely loose you, so he's keeping you around as a backup plan.

If there was something wrong with the relationship, he would put in the effort to work on it. Asking for a break is like giving up on the relationship.

You can morn as much as you want, but eventually you're going to have to accept reality that his feelings changed.

As for your sister, I'm not sure why they are talking to each other, we would need more information, but it sounds suspicious.

It must be hard to hear but I think this is just the way to say he respects and cares for you but just not in love anymore.
I know it's hard but being single is not a shame.You are not less attractive now than you were before!
