Me and my girlfriend have been together for 8 months now and we fell in love quick, (After a few months) We see each other almost everyday. She had been in a 2 year relationship when I first met her and she had just split with her ex. I was there for her as a friend and this is how we started dating. She gets a lot of male attention because she is very pritty, this has never bothered me. We always spend time together and are great together. She has been going through some bad times since we have been together and I have always helped her through them. I am always there for her. She always tells me she loves me and I believe her. We are always together. But recently she has started college and she got a boys phone number. I meet her after her college, but when we are together she is always texting this boy from her college. She always tells me that I'm the only one for her and that she loves me. But I read some of the text's that she has been sending and receiving to this boy and she always flirts with him. For example she always calls him 'babe' and worse! This makes me feel really hurt and makes me feel used. Before she started this college we have been fine. And very much in love. Now it feels like she likes someone else, I have spoken to her about this and she always tells me that she loves me and I'm the only one she wants. But I am never there when she is with this boy at college so I don't no what to think. She always flirts with him and he is a flirt back. When we are together on our own she is always texting him. He probabley likes my girlfriend a lot, and I don't want us to break up. I don't no what to do. Can someone please help me! Thank you.

All you can control is you. However, your insecurity if not dealt with won't help your cause. If you were her, which would you choose: A) the happy-go-lucky-no-stress guy she texts, or B) the insecure, suspicious, controlling, questioning you?

Hitting on guys, calling them babe "and worse" is flirting with the idea of cheating. Not only that, but it is hurting you, A LOT. Love is respect, willingness to die for someone, integrity, honesty, and COMMITMENT. If your girl isn't sold out for you, and willing to put her life on the line for you, she doesn't truly love you.

Well for your information I'm his girlfriend and he needs to get over it, the boy is a friend and I am alowwed friends so I will talk to him all I like! And jaime u don't know anything about our relationship so u can't give advice to MY boyfriend about it! I ant a flirt he's just insecure!

Well this is interesting. I've never seen when the other person comments. So ToniB and AdrianW I will ask both of you the same question: Do you think this guy just wants to be friends or Do you think he wants to be more then friends?

Toni... You need to realize what love truly is. Talking with friends is fine, but calling them "babe" is NOT "just friends." And apparently your boyfriend is questioning your love, hence why he has asked for our advice. And for the record, I know a thing or two about relationships, so I believe that I do have a right to give my imput to your boyfriend.. Who do you think you are? You're calling other guy's "babe" but for some odd reason you have issues when someone gives your boyfriend relationship advice? How slefish, and controlling! Sorry, but by doing what you just did, you are being very controlling. It's a wonder he's come to us for advice.

So what he just don't have a right going on to the internet and saying a lot of stuff about our relationship to strangers, could pedos for all we no and we are happy the way we are without anyone else. And he nos I love him and he loves me and I also no abit about relationships too love! And babe so what it's a gesture a friend gesture!! Ill say it all I like :D

You now know that your boyfriend has a problem with the content of your friendship with this boy. It is up to you what you do with that information, but I think that your boyfriend who says that he is supportive and loving, deserves the same in return.
