I have just returned from my holiday and found out that I have been burglarized, My safe was stolen and in side were my house Deeds.
Can anyone tell me what could happen if the Deeds fell into the wrong hands, Can some one try to claim my house as there's ?

Your Deed is recorded at the court house. Go there a get a certify copy of it. Have the court note that your copy was stolen.

It would be hard for anyone to try to claim the property since you are the true owner.

If you have a mortgage on the property, it would be impossible for anyone to claim it.

Yes, deeds are public documents, you can go down and get copies and review the deeds on any property anywhere in town.

When I am reviewing property to buy I go down and look up past deeds on a lot of properties.

While its unlikely that anything would be done, its possible that the thief may try to take a loan using the deed as collateral. It's a long shot, but it's a possibility. You might want to subscribe to a service that monitors requests for your credit history.
