Why did you try answering your own question?

You can usually pick this up from their behaviour and also by talking to them. Communication is important in working out if someone likes you as a friend or perhaps more.

You can usually tell when someone does not like you but I do think it is harder for someone to hide the fact that they like you.

This is of course if you are talking about them liking you as more than just a friend or acquaintance..

Because if you are you are pretty right.

You can just tell by their actions when they are around you.
