    Intertherm Heater
Hi. We just bought an older mobil home that has an Intertherm heater... possibly spelled wrong :-) The pilot lights and the fan works, but the burner doesn't light. Is this something difficult to fix? PLEASE HELP. WE ARE FREEZING TO DEATH IN THE MOUNTAINS :-(

It's probably the automatic gas valve/thermopile. Weak magnet in valve or not enough millivolts off thermopile. Just replace valve and thermo couple with same valve and pile.

How old is the furnace, they have changed a lot over the years. It is probably going to be a safety device in series with the gas valve. If you can't read a schematic diagram you may want to call a service man.
