Is there any interest in a forum on natal astrology?
I have an interest in and some experience with natal astrology, i.e. the analysis of individual birth charts. My approach to the subject has been heavily influenced by the writings of Dane Rudhyar, Stephen Arroyo and others of that general persuasion. This approach is not at all related to fortune telling or predictions about the future, and it is certainly not about causation in the scientific sense, or about compulsion. Rather, it has to do with the structure of personality and the cycles of personal growth and development that we all go through as we age and learn. It also can help us to understand our particular issues and challenges, and highlight the points in time when these issues come into focus and need our attention. I think the most useful interpretation of a birth chart is done by each person for themselves, so I tend to explain the basic symbols and elements of astrological analysis, rather than try to tell somebody what their chart "means".

Anyway, I don't see anyplace on the site that such a discussion really fits, and I was wondering if there might be enough interest to set up a forum on the subject. What do you think?

The Psychics and Fortune Tellers forum should suffice. But maybe a more specific Astrology forum is appropriate.

Yeah, I looked at that, but the kind of astrology I'm interested is about as far from fortune telling as you can get, and I'm sure not psychic. The Personal Growth forum is closer to what it's really about, so maybe that's where it belongs. For now, let's just see what kind of responses this thread gets, and see what develops. There's no hurry.
