A client refuses to pay their bill to me, what are my legal rights?
Hi, bitterbeauty!
Did you have any sort of contract with them and can you prove that you provided something to them for which they need to pay?
Thanks!
I only have the documentation of what they bought. They keep telling me they will pay, but every time the payment is scheduled, something "comes up".
You could write them a letter with copies of the documentation that you have attached, telling them that you will be taking them to small claims court with them being liable also for the court costs unless they pay for what they purchased.
Thanks!
Thanks! I'll look into that! I hope it doesn't have to come to that. I have given them a 72 hours "Final notice". So if nothing happens after that, small claims court it is!
