I have two e-mail messages in Mail for Mac which won't delete! They fade when I try and delete them, but then come back! HELP

What version of OS and Mail?
Who is the mail provider?

Without any specific info I can suggest that you do the basics.
Try rebuilding the mailbox to do so select the inbox then choose "Rebuild" under the "Mailbox menu. There has been problems with AOL mail accounts also
