Some schools have night GED classes
That cost little or nothing.In my area they offer GED classes free of charge and the classes are offered at night at our local high school

There are costs in the testing and some for the classes in most places.

Assuming you are low income, since you ask, talk with your welfare case worker as to programs they offer to help pay for high school or the GED program.
