IRA contributions, where to show on 1040nr/1040nrez
    Hi,
For year 2009, my company set up an IRA account, where I made contributions. I was on OPT till end of November and changed the status to H1b from oct 2009.
I will be filing as non-resident, I am wondering do I need to show contribution to IRA on my tax return? If yes where in 1040NR or 1040NRez will this information need to be reported.

    Any help will be appreciated
    Thanks,
    KM

Mine is SIMPLE IRA, and I received form 5498 with lines 5,7,9,11 where they showed fair market value and SIMPLE contributions and I was told that the contribution I make is pre- tax. So is that a non-taxable income? And which number should I show fair market value of SIMPLE contributions

If the contributions were made from your salary pre-tax, then you do not report them.

If you wrote a check to contribute with after-tax money, then report the contribution on Line #31 of Form 1040NR.
