    High voltage cable
    1. Is it smart/legel/safe to disconnect a 7,000 volt under ground cable without disconnecting the power?

    2. Where or how would you store the hot cable?

    3. Need to prove this is a DUMB idea.

Working with voltages at this level requires special personal protective equipment, tools, training, knowledge, documentation, procedures, etc.

Anyone considering this without the proper knowledge and training is reckless and dangerous.

I can provide photos of dead bodies burned beyond recognition after coming in contact with high voltage, but are too graphic for this forum, and this question is beyond the scope of this forum.

If someone you know is planning to work on high voltage and does not have the proper training, tools, etc, call in OSHA before a tragedy occurs.
