Hi, I'm 20 years old. Last night my boyfriend and I (who is 22 years old) were having intercoarse. While in the act he starts yelling and screaming, telling me to turn the lights on. I thought he had gotten a leg cramp, but when I turned the lights on there was blood everywhere, gushing out of the tip of his penis. Later, I realized he must have torn his frenulum/frenum, he is uncircumcised. This has happened many times before, but never this severe. He is too embarrassed to talk about it to anyone muchless a doctor. Maybe the lack of lubricant could have caused this? Or he has a thin/short "Banjo String". What are the precautions? Is a circumcision necessary considering how many times this has happened? Can a 22 year old be circumcised? Should this be taken seriously? Can infection happen? Based on how bad the cut is, how long will it take to heal? How can I convince him to consult with a doctor?

His foreskin can be corrected. If this has happened before, isn't he scared enough about it to see a doctor, of course infection could occur and in the worst possible place.
