Biological father not on birth certificate and wants his child
%ust find out that I have a year old little girl but the mother is married and doesn't want me in her life. I was never told that the child was mine or ever asked for anything to care for her. Now that the paternity results are in she's 99.99% mine and I want to be in her life but I can see that's going to be a challenge at best. What can I do?

Was it a court ordered test? And has there been a challenge to the existing legal father?

Depending on where you live, it is no challenge at all. If the DNA test was court ordered, you file a motion to establish paternity( assume you already did, to get a DNA test) now you make a motion to the court for a custody order, you ask for joint custody of some level or just ask for proper visitation. Then child support will be set.

It is all a matter of getting some court orders to allow you to visit or have some level of custody.

In a few states, it will be harder but it is still a matter of attorney and going to court

The exisitng legal father asked for the DNA tests the mother ask if I wanted to be tested due to a pas t relationship with her, I agreed to be tested with the courts approval I was never on any court docket. The mother now will not let me see my little girl but the good news is thwt we have a court date March 1. I want to be included in her life and would like to have a say as her father. Thanks1
