I have a well, with a airator I clean it regularly). There is Like calcium or what looks like shells in the creens of the faucet's? The washer gets clogged up also. We have hot water on demand because this stuff has allreay clogged up the hot water tank, so we got rid of it.I am at a loss of what to do.I have a friend that puts wells down and this is his third time he has ever seen this. I was wondering if the water is reacting to something or what is going on?

I would call in a water conditioning company, such as culligan etc. They can test your water and install filtration systems, softeners etc to make your water as good as any city water. First step is to get the water tested. Then you may be able to just add an inline filter yourself. Please let us know how things work out.

Or you could try this HydroCare USA I suspect that its snake oil but maybe someone out there can give a testimonial on it.

I have never installed this product but I have installed hundreds of others that work on the same principe that home owners would buy. I don't know of a one that the homeowner claimed to work, and I removed most of them over time.

Yep, sure sounds like a gimmick to me. Kind of like sugar pills to cure cancer.

So no one can help me then?? I am wondering what the water is reacting with something. I just don't want to put a water softner and say it's fixed, when my mother -in -law has the same set up... wit the eception that one is a house and one is a trailer?

See post #2. this is all the advice I can give from here, without being there to test the water myself, it's a tough call. You need to know what is in the water to know how to cure the problem.

There is the easy water system that claims to clear the mineral deposits in the piping systems, but it is not a softner system.
