    How do you lay laminate flooring
    I bought laminate wood flooring and was wondering if their aree any tricks to putting the pieces down

    Just read the instructions properly and make it a good fit. And no water when you wash the laminate flooring, just damp mop. I found out the hard way.

    I am assuming you have the instructions in each box of laminate flooring, right ?

    Inspect the edges carefully.

    Make sure floor is flat. Lay down the pad.. Make sure the recommended gap is present. Stagger the boards.

    Some are glued. There is usaully an installation tool to make sure they butt correctly. It allows you to strike the edge.

    You have to cut the door moulding so the floor will fit under it.

    Use the correct transition strips.

    Stairs are tricky when edges are exposed. It's recommended to use screws (say 3) on the stair edge strips.
