    Define full-time resident for Georgia.
How does the Georgia tax code define a full-time resident?

I am a travel R.N. and spent a majority of my time outside of Georgia.
Do I have to pay state income taxes for Georgia?

    THANKS for any input! David

    David:

If you maintain your base in Georgia (get your mail here; maintain an apartment/house, etc.), then you are considered a full-time resident of Georgia.

You will remain a full-time resident of Goergia until you establish residency in another state.

If I live in Florida and receive a lump sum from Florida Retirement System in January 2006 then move to Georgia from April 2006 to December 2006 do I have to pay Georgia State tax? They claim I do!
