    Ceiling Fan Wiring
    I have a ceiling/fan light in kitchen - with a three (3) wall switch:
#1 - Turns power on for ceiling/fan AND recessed ceiling lights. The other two switches control (on/off) the fan and fan light respectively.

My problem is that I don't want the ceiling recessed lights on... but I need to turn switch #1 on in order to turn the fan or fan light on.

Using a) as top of switch(es) and b) as bottom:

Switch 1 has a) blk wire coming from ceiling, and b) going to and tied together with the other b) connections from other two switches.

Switch 2 (fan only) has a) blk from ceiling

Switch 3 (fan light) has a) blk from ceiling

Also from ceiling are 3 white wires - all tied together... along with 3 copper wires from ceiling each connected to respective switch box (gnd).

My goal is to have switch 1 turn on/off recessed lights only... but the way they've wired it I have to have it on in order to turn fan/fan light on. How can I get power to switch 2 and 3?

    Is this cable or conduit?

So you have three black wires, and three white wires? Is this correct?
