    Toilet plumbing
I removed the toilet to replace the wax ring only to find that the pvc ring that holds the flange cracked and part of it fell off. My question is, is this pvc ring that holds the flange removable or is it glued on to the sewer drain? I can see that this ring was slipped on to a pvc pipe that leads to the sewer.

    Hey Mary,

The PVC flange is glued on and will have to be cut loose. But don' start cutting yet. There's a repair kit out for broken slots, (see image) this just slides under the flange and the closet bolts mount on them. You can pick a flange repair kit at most hardware stores. Good luck, Tom
