Currently in college pursuing pharmacy tech education, but was told I may not be able to work in this field because of my criminal background. By the time I graduate my record will be over five years old. Can anyone answer this question?

Maybe a visit to a local lawyer who knows those laws would settle your mind, this is your future plan and you might be pursuing a career you might not be able to have.

Depends on your background, what the charges were/are - you cannot be licensed in NY.

Contact the licensing board in your State and ask. If it's a case by case review they will not give you an answer until you actually apply.

Agree it's not fair but that's how it works.

This is posted under addictions so I am assuming they are abuse charges.
