I worked for the census last year 2009, and the w-2 they sent me has something incorrect in the tax id number. I have tried to file my taxes on line and it keeps getting rejected by the IRS because of the goverments w-2! Ah- has this happened to anyone else?

Assuming this is still a problem, your only alternative is to mail the return.

I worked for them for 1.5 years (I started in Jan '09 and stayed until Aug '10) and the same thing happened to me at tax time. I got it corrected but now that I no longer work for them I tried to file for unemployment and now the unemployment office shows me as making no money during that period. I have been trying to get this resolved for over 2 months now!!
