    Missing period and not pregnany
I've been off my birth control pill for 5 months. Didn't get my period for the 1st two months and then got it right before my wedding and then once after (26 days). But now its 33 days and I haven't gotten it. We've been trying for a baby but I've take 2 HPT and they were both negative. I don't have any signs of being pregnant and didn't have signs of my period either. I do notice a white discharge similar to when I ovulate. I'm scheduled to see my gyno this month for my yearly visit but am going to try and switch to see her early this week. I don't know why I'm so unregular. Before I started on the pill I never missed a period and on the pill I was always regular. Any ideas?

For some women it can take up to a year for their cycles to become regular once coming off the pill.

What time of day did you take the HPTs? First morning urine is the most abundant in the pregnancy hormone hcg. So, if you are pregnant, and you took the test in the evening, then you may have gotten a false negative.

I took the test around 8am but I normally pee around 2-3 times during the night so I don't know if its really considered the 1st pee. I just don't know why I started to get my period and then it just went away again.

Well, depending on your age, your hormones going on and/or coming off the pill are in the middle of a balancing act.

It also depends on the length of time you were on the pill. Your body is trying to adjust to the drop in synthetic hormone that it was given while you were on the pill. Natural hormonal adjustments are not made overnight and can take up to a year before you are back on a regular cycle.

You also say you pee 2 - 3 times per night. Do you have, or have you ever been tested for Diabetes? While this is normal for some people, one of the silent symptoms of diabetes is nighttime urination.

Yes I have been tested this past year for Diabetes and I don't have it. My doctor thinks I just have a small bladder and I do drink a lot of water and tea throughout the day.

Good, glad you were tested and everything is okay. Yes, a lot of water and tea will cause this also.

Maybe it is time for a check up and a blood test for pregnancy.
