Does airplane noise affect house setteling
Recently I have noticed gaps around my ceiling crown moulding.I live very close to Atlanta's Airport. It has also rained a great deal over the past several months. My question is does any of the two above factors affect my house setteling. My house is a two story structure and is around 10 years old

BiGG2444- I do not think that the settling of your house is caused by the aircraft landing and takeing off is the cause , as for the cracking ,now that would be possible,
More so if they are low over the house but all the rain you have had over the past several months, the ground is extermmly wet and soft;; I would thuink that is the cause a few years back [bacvk in late 90's a building close to down town atlanta sunk in the ground ; FOR a start ,get you a building inspector to come out and check it out
He will know just what to look for ;;I hope that this helps you out, IF it does come back on this site and let us all know ;; I had a cousin that used to live in a trailor ,right in line with the main runway ,at lambert air port in st louis mo. ;when they came in for a landing and you were outside you could look up and count the rivets in one of the wingsin fact one took his TV attenna down one day and it was only 25 feet above thr trailor roof. NO JOKE ; BUT he never had any cracking of sheetrock or settleing ;; GOOD LUCK,have a great day tiomorrow and GOD BLESS;;F.B.E.
