    Cancer from a hickey?
Well today I was shopping with my mom. And she saw I got a hickey. I know it's a bad thing. But she told me I could get cancer from it. Is that true? Or is it just another one of those story's that your parent's tell you to scare you so you won't do it again?

I searched a few sites and could not find any referance to link the two, that does not mean its not the case, onlt that I could not find anything.

A hickey is caused by hard sucking breaking the blood vessels under the skin causing bruising, they usually take about 10 to 12 days to disappear.

Using concealer or cover stick will help hide it.

This is a Mom Fib. Having a visible hicky can get you into trouble at school (and with your parents) and cause more attention than you may want from other teens. It won't cause cancer any more than other other bruise would.

Wear a high necked top or some concealer.
