    02 dodge intrepid-windshield wiper prolem
Hi everybody, my wipers just stopped working... I checked the 10A fuse inside the car and its good... found a couple relays under the hood and I ohmed out the prongs that are connected inside (from electrical diagram on relay) and it seem'd OK.. am I checking the relay right? I also unplugged the wiper motor and checked for voltage coming to the wiper motor "on" only got 5v on one terminal (brown wire)... is this normal? Any help or if someone has a diagram of the winshield wiper system would be great

. Test all under hood and under dash fuses with your multimeter:

    . Check/replace the windshied wiper/washer switch.

. Clean all connections and apply dielectric grease.

. Check ignition switch, if the problem persists.

. Replace or rebuild wiper motor.

What the best way to check the switch?

    Continuity test with a multimeter.

There 2 studs w/torx tips... so I would need a socket w/a female torx... do you know what size this is?

Buy an External Torx Socket Set and have the bases covered. Check out Harbor Freight.

I've checked the switch and it has a rotary type thing to regulate the wiper speed and it doesn't start read any ohms till its almost fully open... is this correct?
