How do I move programs from local disc C to local disc G
Basically you can't move programs from drive to drive. You would have to uninstall the program from C: and reinstall it on G:. Some files (assuming Windows) will be written to the Windows directory anyway.
 I am currently using a Sony Vaio laptop. The local disc C only has 8 gig capacity. It is nearing that limit. I have connected exterior local disc G with 80 gig capacity. I would like to move some of the programs from local disc C to local disc G. Is there a way to do this?
Didn't I just answer that question?
Why don't you move data over to the external drive instead of programs? Stuff like movies, music, photos, documents, etc.
Hi there,
Does your hard drive have another partition? Like D drive that is not a CD-ROM or DVD drive? If you have more than one partition, than you can use a program like Partition Magic to expand the C drive partition to a bigger size. Let me know if whether you have multiple partitions or not.
Hope it helps!
