Are you familiar with jacobsen snowblowers?
Who know's about the Walbro LMB carb that's on a Jacobsen snow blower? I have a specific question regarding the type of needle that was on this Jacobsen that I just bought. It has a small spring inside of the needle and no way to attach it to the float. Is this the old style needle for this unit. I've never seen this before. Also I have a no spark situation. This unit has points, condenser, and a separate armature. When I removed the flywheel, it was so clean I was amazed. Actually this whole unit is in very good condition. But my question is, do condensers go bad from sitting or age? I cleaned the points from a light film and checked the gap to be .020, everything was good as far as I could see. I also disconnected the cut off wire going from the condenser and tried again and still no spark. How do I check the gap for this units armature and what should it be? There doesn't seem to be any way to get my gauge in between the armature and flywheel. I can't acess the back side because it is covered by part of the flywheel case/cover--mounted to the crankcase. And of course the front is covered by the flywheel. There has got to be some way because there are slots for the armature to slide up and down before you tighten it. Please help!
