When does the statute of limitations run in Texas and in their petition do they not need to provide an accounting or statement. I'm being sued by collection agency in county court - what do I need to do?

SOL in Texas for open accounts is 4 years:
    Texas Statutes of Limitations

In their original filing, most will not include more paperwork than is necessary. This could be because a)most people don't bother responding to the summons and a default judgment is granted in the creditors favor or b)they don't have the documentation to begin with.
