Fittings needed to convert copper to cpvc
I am installing a shower stall to where I removed a shower but there are hot and cold cooper pipes that runs from downstairs plumbing through the floor to the shower head of the shower that I removed. I have to reroute these hot and cold pipes to the wall beside there present location. I have to go under the floor, cut the cooper pipes below the floor. I want to use cpvc or pvc starting where I cut the pipes. What type of fittings should I use? I don't want to do any soldering and these pipes will be under the floor and in the wall. Please advise

You can go to a big box like home depot or Lowe's and get some fittings they are gator bites. You just slide your copper into one side and the cpvc or pvc into the other side. They are rated for high psi and even behind walls.

    Hi all..

Suthern Kumfert has you headed in the right direction, Archerwyatt... ;)

I use SHARKBITE fittings... pretty much the same as gatorbite fittings. Here, you can in fact transition from copper to cpvc without soldering. Check it out at this video link:

Let us know if you have any questions... O.K?

    That's right massplumber,

One of the stores sells the shark bites and the other sells the gator bites... I could not remember which sells which but they are the same thing!

    Good luck!
