Laundry tub fills up when washer empties
When my washer machine empties my laundry tub fills up about 12 inches deep... is this normal?

    Hi Ksrogers...

Yup! It's something I would consider relatively normal...

Here, the volume of water discharged from a washing machine can be pretty great, and then you add the rate at which the water is discharged and you can see how that tiny 1" drain hole in the laundry tub may have difficulty keeping up with draining all the water.

As far as I'm concerned, if the water isn't coming close to overflowing the top of the laundry tub then you should be fine.

If you still have any concerns you can certainly try to snake the drain line itself... let us know if you'd like to discuss that.

Finally, take a minute and fish around inside the drain hole of the laundry tub itself... could be lint caught up there. If so, you may want to consider installing a LINT SOCK.

    Back to you...
