Steam coming off a Goodman heat/cool unit. Is that OK or does it need to be looked at
For the last 2 weeks or so I've noticed steam coming off my Goodman unit. I thought it was just the snow at first and today I noticed a big ploom and no snow falling so I know now that it is in fact steam. There is water trickling off the end of the unit and not out the drain hole.
I did just have the coil replaced on this unit and that is when this steam started.
It is a 1 1/2 ton unit. The coil was replaced under warranty.

Sounds like maybe, you didn`t say,but if you have a heatpump, yes sometimes you will see steam/heat rising out of unit when it is in defrost mode,, does it work OK? Putting out the same amount of heat it did before the big ploom?
