    Two 50 amp breakers equal 100 amp
    I have a breaker panle that has two 50 amp breakers and they are connected together, does this mena the house has 100 amp system or 100 amp breaker

    That is a 50 Amp double pole breaker, so neither answer is correct.

    A picture would be very helpful here.

    Are you talking about the Main Service Panel Service Entry Cable that then connects to the Main Service Panel breaker?

    Or are you speaking of a tandem double 50 amp breaker that is in with the rest of the branch circuit breakers.

    More than likely, if you are speaking of a circuit breaker in with the general population of breakers you are looking at a 50 Amp dual pole 240 VAC breaker.

    This is protecting two 50 amp conductors going to a Spa, Pool or Hot Tub device or something similar.
