Moving out at 18 need a lot of help
Need to move out as soon as I hit 18. I have a solid place to live and can go without a paycheck for a little while. My life is in danger so no your going to die in a cardboard box speeches please I actually would be safer living in the streets. He doesn't want me to leave so this is going to be an overnight deal and I have moving details worked out with the person I'm moving in with. But there are problems I need help with.

1He claims to have legal guardianship due to a custody battle with my grandparents so he says I belong to him until I'm 21 (I live in Utah the custody battle was in Missouri) can this be true?

2 he won't let me get a job so are there ways to get a job without him knowing?

3 legal actions against the people I'm moving in with. (hopefully he won't know I'm gone until morning)

4 I do expect a missing persons report so can you call the police station and tell them you simply moved out?

5 He abusive, manipulative, controlling, and has some serious anger management issues; so what can I expect from him

    Thanks for any help

At 18 you can move out anytime you want, you don't need anyone's persmission and no one can do anything about it.

You don't have to tell the police anything, so what if he calls in a missing person report, ( even if they willl take one)

You don't have to tell him where you move or where you work
