    Have used used disc to repair windows... now my "favourites" list will not work... comes up with" lookup key was not foundin any active activation context"

    Posted this before but realise there wasn't enough detail... have windows xp... and due to blue screen... dell talked me through repair windows with the reinstalation disc... everything works fine except for my favourites list... comes up with... lookup key not found in any active activation context... how can I repair this... tried IR7... but wouldn't let me download with the same message... thanks... philthy

    Try removing and reinstalling Internet Explorer. Also search this site for other remedies. This is a common question.

    Thanks a lot for the suggestion.. I ended up going to Dell who talked me through and managing to download I37 AND 8which I had tried and wouldn't let me... if I had tried with Google Chrome it would've worked... as it happens everything back to normal... thanks philthy
