Cannot find the multimedia audio controller in device manager how do I find and reinstall it

What operating system? Usually if a device doesn't show up, there is a problem with it, a conflict with another device, or it isn't enabled in the BIOS. Also, occasionally it may be detected and installed as the wrong device.
