You should not contact him. Remember, he broke it off with you. You should no longer invest the time and energy into someone who does not want to be with you.

NOOOOOO stay away from him!! What's the point of talking to him?? After 6 years he left u!! U neeed to shut that part of your life up and move on!! Please do... if you contact him it will only open an old can of rotten worms. He hurt u, u deserve better. I promise.

Why is a good question?
After six years,you're probably still healing from the divorce,so no contact is the best option.
