    Bryant 383K blower motors
Are the bearings on the blower motor for a Bryant 383K furnace internally sealed, or can they be lubricated periodically? I disconnected power to my furnace and reached into the blower compartment to spin the fan and it seems to take a little bit of effort to get it to spin. Bad bearings? Replace the motor? The blower will occasionally spin up once flame has been proved, but usually it hums a lot.

Usually the motors are lubed for life with no oil holes. Some folks have put some lube on the lower part of the shaft and then pull the end bell and lube there. You will probably be better served by replacing the motor and also replace the motor run capacitor that matches the new motor every time you change a motor.
