Where to buy replacement push button light switch for Fluorescent light?
We have at church an organ light with single tube... when you push button in and hold, it starts the light... releasing it, it lights... push again and its off. It's 3 wires... I cannot find this switch at Lowe's or home depot... or even electric shops... anyone have an idea where I can buy one online? Thanks! Todd

It should be 4 wires. Here is a wiring diagram.

    Fluorescent Lamps, Ballasts, and Fixtures

    A Leviton #9382 should work.

The Blues are probably the push side and blacks are the on/off side.

It looks as if it's discontinued, but I did find this reference:

    Leviton

If there is room, you could mount an electronic ballast and eliminate the push to start switch.

e.g. 4-Pin 2D / Butterfly CF Ballasts: Light Bulbs Etc, Inc.

But would need to know length, tube and possible mounting info.

I have two such lamps. One is an old aquarium lamp with a wall wart kind of ballast. The other is a desk lamp, probably similar to what you have which has a very small ballast in the base. Both are about ~16" long, I guess.

Thanks for the info! There is no room for a ballast in the fixture, as the ballast currently there is on the cord before it goes in the lamp... I am going to try to find a switch on EBay... there has to be one out there! At leaqst I have a switch number to look for! Todd

I was able to find a company that sells the same type of switch for $18.95. The only one I could find besides the "Leviton 9382".
Here's the link: http://www.antiquegasstoves.com/pages/parts/elec.html The part is the AGS05 - Fluorescent light switch
