Am I responsible as a co-applicant even though ex signed my name?
Probably already know the answer to this question but... I have been divorced since Oct 2008. When I went to get my house after the divorce and pulled the credit report there was a credit card for Capital One that I knew absolutely nothing about. I never used the card or made any purchase with it. Is there any way to fight the claim that the signature on that application is indeed my own? (I know it is not) Right now I'm fighting off the collections people and was waiting to get a lawyer because of the $$$ involved.
    Thanks!

That's your defense - it's not your debt, not your signature - and I'm assuming you never used the card and had no connection with it.
