Help! My DVD-ROM drive can't read disks. My PC keeps dispalying "insert disk into drive". I could play DVDs, audio and video CDs before. But some days ago, it became hsitory. THe hardware is a NEC DV-5800A. 'Been searching for asolution on the internet since then. Heeeeeeelp!

Likely it died. It happens. I've had more than a couple fail over the years. They are cheap to replace.

No, Need Karma. I haven't uninstalled my any burning software. 'Guess I'm going to have to get a new drive. Damn hardware!
