My daughter is 34 she has 4 children the youngest is 9 months old. She had the coil fitted shortly after her last child and has been putting on weight around her tummy ever since so much so that I thought she may be pregnant she has had a test which is negative but now her breasts are leaking milk.

I am worried that it may be a pituary gland problem she has - I don't want to alarm her
Could there be any other reason?

There could be several reasons. Some serious and some not so serious.

Mastitis - an inflammation/infection of the breast tissue, not serious, but needs to be treated by her doctor.

Breast Cancer - which I had at 32, serious, needs to be see by her doctor.
