    Making work pay credit
Does someone qualify for making work pay $250 credit if they are claimed as a dependent on someone else's return and only made a minimal amount (around $3,000) on a part time job? This person filed a return just to get the back the small amount of federal taxes they paid in for this job. They are a full time student. Thanks!

No dependents do not get Making Work Pay credit.
Credit is 6.2% of earned income with a maximum of $400. Non dependents must file schedule M (Form 1040) to get the credit.
