    Can I get emancipated?
I have a question I am 16 years old and have a daughter that is 2 months old and I want to get emancipated because my parents are to controlling and my dad is an alcoholic and gets violent with me and I am scared that he will take it too far and hit my little girl but my mom will not consent to the emancipation forms can I still get emancipated?

When I was 15 I looked up the possibility of emancipation online and if I recall you need to be able to support yourself without the help of anyone else.

Here is a that might help you out a bit

    Emancipation: Encyclopedia of Everyday Law

If this doesn't help let me know and I will do some more research for you, good luck.

For starters what state are you in? Some states don't allow emancipation. Another thing is that you have to be able to care for yourself and in this case your child without any help at all. Food rent clothing utilities everything. No help from anywhere. Also you can't get it on a whim you have to have a proven track record. And yes it means living on your own not with someone else.
