    Newborn gift idea
My brother and his wife are expecting a baby boy in February. This will be my first nephew and also my brother's first child. What would be a good gift to get them? I want to get something meaningful, something that will last, so not like diapers or anything like that. I'm still going to send them diapers because I know you always need diapers. I just need a good gift idea. Thanks for your opinions

I always appreciated clothes. Not newborn size, but about 6 month or 12 months. They just grow SO fast.

Do you know the name? Get a personalized blanket, bib, and shoulder pad. I still have all of mine.

A gift certificate for his first professional pictures.

    Just a few ideas.

Thanks, these are definitely some things I will consider. I just need to get the creative juices flowing

Are you artistic, can you crosstitch, sew, paint, quilt?

Something handmade and personal would be great.

I know you don't want to do diapers, but...

A laundry basket full of Downy laundry soap, lotion, thermometers, desitin, powder, receiving blankets, newborn toys, gas drops, tylenol.

Things that come in handy but most people don't really think about, if you catch my drift.

The high end approach will work... if you want to be the aunt with the most image... after all baby gifts represent love for the child and mother and father... and you aunt should show that you are the best aunt in the family... yeah.. GO... to Nordstrom and look at the Bugaboo Stroller and fill it with baby products from Bobbi Brown... yes... she does baby products... yeah... or go in on a baby crib that can be purchased from the Baby Factory USA with crib blankets and the works... have it set up or offer to set it up... yes... spoil the baby... love the baby... spoil the mother... love the mama...

I totally agree with Luna if you can afford it.

Yeah I definitely agree with that. Thank you both for your suggestions. That really is an awesome idea. And I think I will do the whole personalized bibs thing.. im also thinking of having his name stitched into the stroller now. Thanks
