Functional group to macromolecule family or families it is commonly associated with.

    a.phophates
    b.sulfhydryl
    c.ammo
    d.carbonyl
    e.carboxyl
    f.hydrocarbon
    g.hydroxyl

    1.carbohydrates-g,d

    2.proteins-

    3.lipids-f

    4.nucleic acids-a

I did some of them.. I think proteins cantain wide variety of funtional groups.. but I don't know which are...

    Please help.

Sorry, I have studied only proteins up to now.

    Proteins contain:
    Thiols (sulfhydryl as in cysteine),
Ammonium ions (is that what you were saying by 'ammo'?),
    Carbonyl,
Carboxyl (well, at one end of a protein chain, or in the form of amine residue all over the chain),
    Hydroxyl.

Ok, according to my basic knowledge,

    Carbohydrates - g
    Lipids - (esters) - d, f, g
    Nucleic acids - a, d, f, g
