    Not needing probate
If it doesn't go to probate how long will it take to get an inheritance?

Usually if a estate was in trust then it can bypass probate. Do you know what type of trust was created and was the trust followed?

I have no idea. I found the trust papers & called the attorney but it seems my mother-in-law moved it, but they are looking into it for me. Is there a way I can find out who has it?

It may well have to go into probate court to be cleared up, if there are disputes over it.
