My friend is 18 and everyone keeps telling him to adopt his baby out and his girlfriend don't want the baby but he is worried if he adopts his baby out to his mom she will push him out of the babies life... He wants to sign the papers because he is getting worrried he will lose the baby forever but could he sign the papers and when he is on his feet in a coiuple months could he take his baby back?

There are other options. He can't give the baby up for adoption and then take it back later. At least not that simply. Has he looked into guardianships? Did you say its his mom who is willing to take the baby? Maybe she could have a temporary guardianship until he's back "on his feet"

Why doesn't your friend get a decent job and raise the child? Adoption once set in stone is a permanent thing.

Second, if I'm following this your friend had a child with a woman who carried the baby to term but doesn't want the child. Your friend is thinking of letting his mother adopt the child (assuming the child's mother approves), but fears his mother would keep the child from him. Why would HIS mother do that?
