My dog won't eat or drink and is falling down when he tries to walk
Our old Lab pet has been acting strange now for quite a while (standing and just stareing, coughing, wobbling, bladder leaking, etc.). We thought it was just signs old old age (he's 13) but last night he suddenly couldn't walk without falling all over the place. He made a mess (bowel movement) on the floor and that's something he NEVER does. Now he won't eat or drink ANYTHING. We are 2 1/2 hours from any Vet Services. Anything you can suggest?

I am sorry, I understand what it's like to be far from vet services, but your dog needs to see a vet.
It could be numerous things, seizures, kidney failure, disease, infection. You owe it to your dog to get him checked out by a professional.
    Hope he is OK!

There really isn't anything you can do but to confine the dog so he doesn't hurt himself and get to a vet asap. You don't have a country vet at all?

Sounds like kidney failure. If this is the case your dog will need special food. Either way you will need to take the dog to the vet. My mom's cat had the symptoms you are describing and that was the problem. The special diet helped but won't cure the kidneys. She bounced back for about 6 months but she spiraled downhill again and had to be put down. She was 20 years old. Good Luck.

Your dog has given you 13 years of love and affection? Unconditional love and affection?

I would drive across the country for my dog. And then board a ship.

You should make that drive. NOW.

I just wonder how long "quite a while" is.

    Your dog is suffering.
