Selling my half share of a house to a relative who owns the other half.We agreed upon a price in Oct. 09. Title search has been done. How long till I can force a closing or demand rent. I feel I am being taken advantage of. I accepted a price, but there is no forward movement. I want rent if closing not done soon.

When they signed a offer and you signed it as an acceptance of their offer ( basically a contract to purchase the property) what is the written requirement for home inspections, title search and closing date.

You can force them to close by the date they agreed to on a written contract.

Basically as 1/2 owner you both have access to the home, you can't charge the other owner rent to live in their own home. If you have a rental agreement then you can.

Should I guess or assume there is nothing in writing.
