Sir,I am a 67yrs old male and have noticed for sometime that my semen is dark brown on ejeculation,I am fit and healthy for my age and pretty active with long bike rides on 4 or 5 days a week.I also had a cystoscopy recently for enlarged bladder which caused me to pass water during the night often.I mentioned to the urologist about it and he was not concerned and made no comment.Would it be my age or is a infection or caused by the cycling on my mountain bike,as I would like to be reassured it nothing more serious.

I would speak to your doctor again. My understanding is that dark colored ejaculation is quite common - and it is often associated with the prostate or an UT infection.

There seems to be a higher incidence if this occurrence amongst men who have benign prostate enlargement, which would be a probability at your age.
